Morning Mindfulness in Suburbia

Part of my early morning ritual most days is a walk with my husband. Before we get to the tasks of domesticity, parenting, and work, we move.


Beginning most days with movement helps me create the momentum I need to accomplish the tasks of the day.


It’s also a time for me to connect with my partner. In these days of schooling and working at home, we are both still busy. Though we are often in the house together, we aren’t necessarily connected during many of the hours.


Our walks regularly remind me of the beauty in our world, even here in suburbia.
